Street Fighter x Tekken was announced at the San Diego Comic Con, to the delight of fighting fans. Now Famitsu (via Adriasang) is spilling more details, straight from the mouth of Super Street Fighter 4 producer Yoshinori Ono.
Ono says that Capcom is targeting a release in two years, and planning to make the next major announcement at Captivate in April 2011. That may seem like a long time, but he claims they only announced it this early as a treat for Capcom fans. The Capcom-developed version will likely come first according to Ono, which means we might be waiting a long while for Tekken vs Street Fighter. If one isn’t due until 2012, Namco’s version could be coming in 2013.
