A closed beta test is approaching for the new free-to-play version of Company of Heroes. THQ has opened beta test applications to the public today (via Blue’s News), and all you need to do is register for an account on the CoH website.
When registering, you’ll need to make sure you opt to “Receive News” and “Receive Offers” in order to be eligible for a beta key. Once the keys are ready to be sent, you’ll receive an email notifying you if you’ve been selected.
A blog post notes that there aren’t many keys to go around during the first phase of the beta, but it will be expanding at a later date. It’s also recommended that you go here and get your game updated to the latest version if you already own Company of Heroes and are hoping to get into the beta. That’ll allow you to save some time once the beta is distributed.
