New shooter/driving game developed by Bizarre Creations; will star Daniel Craig and Joss Stone.
Activision has announced a brand new James Bond game, titled James Bond 007: Bloodstone. The game is based on a brand new script from Bruce Feirstein, who co-wrote the film version of Goldeneye, and stars Daniel Craig and Joss Stone, the latter of whom will also be providing music. It will combine cover-based shooting, hand-to-hand combat and driving according to the publisher, and is slated to appear on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Nintendo DS in Q4 2010.
The news ends months of speculation about the game, which had been teased by retailer listings and registered domain names. Activision has confirmed that the single player game will feature a brand new story spanning Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok, with both land and sea-based action. The publisher has also promised 16-player multiplayer modes based around spies vs mercenaries team play.
Bloodstone will also feature the voices and likenesses of Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and Joss Stone. As well as appearing in the game, Stone will be providing an original musical track, titled Ill Take it All, written and performed by both her and Dave Stewart. The PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions are being developed by Liverpool-based Bizarre Creations, while the DS version is being handled by n-Space.
