WiiWare’s Swords and Soldiers is now coming to the PlayStation 3 as well. The press release (via Gamasutra outlines the deal between Sony Online Entertainment and developer Ronimo Games to bring the strategy title to PSN.
The side-scrolling strategy game features a unique art style, online and offline multiplayer modes, and the PlayStation 3 version will add 20 Trophies. Players take control of Vikings, Aztecs, or Chinese, and assemble their armies to rush the opposing forces. It was one of the better-received WiiWare titles of last year.
“Swords and Soldiers is the perfect blend of real-time strategy and bold 2D graphics and will include innovative features,” said SOE senior producer Micah Loucks in the press release. “Collaborating with Ronimo Games is a great opportunity for SOE to continue to bring interesting and unique titles to the PlayStation Network.”
