This morning we officially learned that the HTC One will arrive for Verizon Wireless customers on August 22. Verizon spokesman Albert Aydin tweeted to inform that Verizon HTC One customers will receive Android 4.2.2 out of the box. Other US carriers’ models still have 4.1.2, which means that the Verizon version will be the only one with features like Daydreams, lock screen widgets, and Instagram video support in BlinkFeed.
Verizon’s version will match the international version which got 4.2.2 back in June. The 16 GB Verizon HTC One will cost $199.99 with a two-year contract. The 32 GB version will be launched in silver on a later date, Aydin confirmed in another tweet.
