Those of you Verizon customers out there looking for a new smartphone in the immediate future will probably be excited at this tidbit of news we’re about to share. The gang at Phone Arena obtained a leaked road map of Big Red’s August lineup and boy it’s certainly a doozy. Verizon intends to launch smartphones that will cater to all sorts of customers, starting with the imminent release of the Motorola DROID and DROID MAXX smartphones which will arrive on August 20th, followed by highly anticipated unveiling of the Motorola X smartphone (August 23rd), LG Exalt, Motorola DROID mini, the waterproof Kyocera Hydro Elite (online-only) and Samsung Convoy 3 (all on August 29th). As exciting as those (almost) concrete dates are, the one that will carry the most weight will be the August 29th release of the HTC One smartphone… a phone that we thought we’d never see the light of day for Verizon customers.
So yeah… it looks like you Verizon customers will probably need to start scraping up those extra dollars since it may be well, an expensive month for you all.
