Sword of the Stars: The Pit: MindGames is a shiny example of DLC that truly deserves to be called an expansion! MindGames adds so much new content and features to Sword of the Stars: The Pit, that it can significantly change the way you play the game. You get two new playable characters, one of which–the telekinetic Psion–is the reason for the pack’s title. The second one is the first playable alien–the Tarka Ranger. Two new play modes are being added, one of them allows you to play indefinitely, the other–aptly called “Seriously? Mode”–delivers even higher difficulty level to the hardcore gamers that find the “Insane Mode” falling short of their masochistic expectations. There are ten new levels waiting to be explored, including the new vast biosphere environments. Even the gameplay mechanics experience an overhaul with the addition of XP and item “banking” system, allowing some boost for the starting characters. If you thought you knew The Pit, think again!
