Zen Studios always provides top quality pinball games. With such themes that almost always brings our our inner geeks. This time around provides 4 tables for the 3DS: Blade, Iron Man, all make a return. Besides the Avengers, Captain America has his own stand alone table for this adventure. As well, The Fantastic Four is featured as stand alone too. Each storyline is done in format as traditional pinball games are told. Do a few objectives, and rack up your score with hitting buttons or passing sliders. However, did Zen Studios out do them selves again?
With the theme of 3D, you are given the four tables provided above. Though not 100% required to enjoy the game, it is interesting to see the title screen with The Cap’s Fist popping out at you. We have spent at least roughly 8 hours on each table trying to out do the scores preset within the games structure. A minor complaint is the tables, while the themes are different looked somewhat the same. While that is about the only thing we thought was a bit off, the rest of the game played very well.
The bumpers for the 3DS were very comfortable to use during our sessions. In a pinball game, its all about balancing the ball in your favor, so having responsive controls is important. Keeping our wizard hats on, we were excitingly singing praise. The lights, sounds and voices were all present, giving the tables all that great marvel feeling. The interface offered the score board at the bottom which offered some simple animations during story modes or perhaps failing in your objective.
In Closing:
While this was a short review, pinball is as it is, simple, great fun. This game is worth the valve and the game play is fantastic. Pardon the pun. Tight controls, sharp visuals for the 3DS. Another great game by Zen studios, keep em’ coming boys!
