Doublesix Games to launch space combat game in Q1 2012.
The Kuju Entertainment-established game developer Doublesix have made a name for themselves by having their game Geometry Wars: Galaxies nominated for best hand-held game at the 2009 BAFTA awards show and making Burn Zombie Burn!. The developer recently announced their new title, Strike Suit Zero, which is slated for a Q1 2012 release.
The game is billed as an arcade space combat game which features transforming spacecrafts known as “strike suits”. Junji Okubo, known for working on Steel Battalion and Infinite Space, will be serving as the title’s mechanical designer, and Paul Ruskay, famous for working on Homeworld’s soundtrack, will be doing the music.
The action game will be released for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC, and will be shown off at this year’s Gamescom. Stay tuned to GameSpot for more information on the title.
