New unit to consume less power; also used for Tales of Xillia X edition bundle.

Even with a lighter and slimmer version of the PS3, Sony still believes that there’s room for extra improvements. The company recently announced a new PS3 model on their official page. The new model, called CECH-3000B, will consume less power–specifically from its original 230W to 200W–and will weigh in at 2.6kg.

The model will also include a 320GB hard disc and will be sold for 34,980 yen ($436.50). The accessories bundled with the PS3 include a Dual Shock 3 controller, a power cable, an AV cable, and USB cable. The new model will be shipped within the end of June.

Namco Bandai will also use the CECH-3000B model for their previously-announced Tales of Xillia X Edition bundle. This bundle will retail at 37,980 yen ($470) and comes with a custom-painted PS3 alongside the game. For a preview of the game, head here.
