Besides the countless PC games that you can purchase from Steam, Valve’s digital distribution platform, you can also now find a selection of free-to-play games.
Five games will kick things off: Spiral Knights, Forsaken World, Champions Online: Free for All, Global Agenda: Free Agent, and Alliance of Valiant Arms. Each of them is now available and support microtransactions through the Steam Wallet functionality that’s been (optionally) used with Team Fortress 2‘s in-game store for some time now.
Steam will be hosting a “F2P game of the day” event for the next five days. Each day will be dedicated to one of the five (starting with Spiral Knights and finishing up with AVA on Sunday), with exclusive in-game content being made available to those who play.
