Ahead of its release during the NBA playoffs tonight, the first trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has made it onto the Web. Unlike what we’ve already seen and heard, this features gameplay footage and, suffice to say, it looks pretty awesome.
Some of the high points include driving a boat, gunning with the AC-130, swimming underwater, and manning a gun on the side of a helicopter.
At one point, a voice says, “It doesn’t take the most powerful nations on Earth to create the next global conflict — just the will of a single man.” The MW3 logo that’s been seen previously is shown as ‘WW3’ before flipping to ‘MW3,’ so it definitely seems like the game will be all about a massive, global conflict, as the recently-released trailers indicated.
