Following reports that the PSP Go’s production had been halted, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has confirmed it will no longer be shipping the device.
SCEJ issued a statement to Japanese website AV Watch; Phile-web is also reporting the same outcome. Additionally, PlayStation.com in Japan notes that shipments have ended for the digital-only handheld.
The news initially broke this week when Sony’s online store in Japan was no longer offering the PSP Go, with a purported Sony Shop employee adding that production had been stopped.
