That Nintendo would suddenly drop the price of the Wii seems a bit strange. Sure, the Xbox 360 has been outselling it as of late in the United States, but it still sold 454,000 systems in February, according to the NPD Group. That’s nothing to scoff at, and it’s certainly not the sort of figure you expect to see right before a price drop. It might make sense if Nintendo decides to announce a console at E3 in June — it’s just not abundantly clear that such a reveal is actually coming.
