Brian “Spy101” Faller

Gaming Unlimited  Host

Having used to work with Future Zone – who became Electronics Boutique, who then became Game as he left some 4 years later. He then went to work as a Technical Support manager for Logic 3 – a PC and console peripherals manufacture and quickly became the PR and Marketing guy for them. Moved over to a publisher called Cenega as a Product Manager (best know game from them was UFO: Aftermath) but that company got sold so he joined EA as a bug tester (you do not get to play games all day as a tester – you do in marketing though!), then moved to Mercury Games (Crazy Frog Racing – sorry!!) who decide to stop paying us and make us all redundant!

Now working as a Marketing Manager for a new UK company called PlayV that is bring games on all formats to the UK market from the European parent companies and 3rd party developers. Spy is also the GUtv industry news hound, bringing the site the most up to date game industry news with Kid Dogg. He’s been around for along time in the games industry so treat the old gent well.

Nico

Reviewer/ Website bada$$

Meet Nico. From the humble country of Finland, this mate relives his past by reviewing retro video games. Sounds boring, right? To make up for the lack of excitement, he also performs challenges that will tear him apart. Which makes him even funnier. Studying computer science, he has given up the whole idea of doing work with computers, and is soon transferring himself to learn more about trafficing and logistics. At the moment he is hosting the following shows: The Retro Job, Case: Mega Man & Project 10. The Retro Job delivers both humor and information about retro games in a good, evenly balanced bowl. In Case: Mega Man, he is not allowed to get damaged in Mega Man 1-6 even once, miss with the original Mega Man’s weapon Mega Buster or use any of the bonus weapons gathered along the way. Lastly, Project 10 covers the top then games you should play before you die.

A graduate of Sheffield Hallam University he has 2 degrees, 1 in Business IT and 1 in Applied Computing. He is mainly a PC and Xbox 360 user and his favourite types of games are FPS and point n’ click adventures.

He has also hosted his own shows which were entitled ‘LucasArts: A Retrospective’ and ‘Point n’ Retro’ which both focused on the point n’ click genre, they both can be found on the Gaming Unlimited tv’s video sharing area. He is also a collaborator on The Edge alongside presenter Mindwipe as he helps find the latest and best video reviews on the web to add to each episode every week. Being raised in the 80’s and 90’s as a child of gaming, it is hard for turboStar to look at the current generation of gaming and be truly motivated.  When turboStar thinks of gaming, he knows only of days of blasting through hordes of A-Holes in Gunstar Heroes, whipping skeletons in Castlevania, and sharing his fondest head-butting memories with Bonk.  “Is it so wrong that I look at gaming on PS3 like its nothing more than a glorified (and expensive) Facebook App or AOL Chat Room?”  I want High Scores, Competitive gameplay, memorizing patterns, great control, and awesome chip tunes rock!

You keep the “Amazing Storylines” and glorified MMO game settings of the current gen.  My Blog will be about REAL GAMING!

MongoBear

” Gary (or Mongo) is the resident Old man and military “expert” of the group. His long term affair with gamming started back in the golden days of the Atari 2600. Hailing from Reno, NV. he’s more than willing to pontificate on all things gamming (and other things). As the Co-host of Gamming Unlimited, he provides the cogent counter point to Spy101’s esoteric ramblings.”
