Sony’s knocking of (what is at least perceived to be) the audience who plays games on Nintendo handhelds is so strange because Sony’s PSP is very popular with the young crowd. So why criticize the competition over that point? Not only that, but the DS has enjoyed far more success than the PSP, and Nintendo has now beaten the NGP to market with the 3DS by what will likely turn out to be at least seven or eight months. And given the way Sony recently spoke about price not making or breaking a platform, it sounds like the 3DS could very well end up being cheaper, too, which gives Nintendo’s newest handheld a lot of advantages over the NGP moving forward.
