Japanese consumers continued to devour Nintendo software and hardware according to the latest Media Create weekly sales report (via 4Gamer.net). The recent success of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd kept Sony at the top of the charts, but fifteen of the top twenty games run on Nintendo hardware.

Monster Hunter came in first place (again) with 581,543 copies sold, passing the 3 million sold mark in its third week of release. Likewise, the PSP remained the top-selling console in Japan with 162,558 units.
