In about a week-and-a-half, Electronic Arts will release the first downloadable content pack for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The Super Sports content pack, which was recently announced but without having the specifics quite nailed down, will include both new cars and events for use in the game on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
There will be 13 new race and pursuit events to take part in and compete against friends on via the game’s asynchronous multiplayer feature, Autolog. In addition, three new cars will be added, which a press release claims are among the “world’s fastest supercars.” Those would be the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (that’s a real one pictured above), Gumpert Apollo S, and Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. All three will be playable as regular racers or in police versions for pursuit modes.
The DLC will be released on Tuesday, December 21, for $6.99 or 560 Microsoft Points.
