Hey everyone, want another imminent Spike TV VGA reveal to look forward to/theorize obsessively about? Well, your interest in this one will depend on how big a Metal Gear Solid fan you are: In a new video where Geoff Keighley brags about the 50 billion (give or take a few) game reveals they have planned for the show, the logo for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker pops up for about one second (shown above).
The tease occurs just as Keighley is coyly saying he doesn’t want to “give anything away,” which, essentially, gives away that there will be some kind of Peace Walker-related announcement during the VGAs tomorrow night. Considering we know for a fact that Konami has considered the possibility of porting the PSP game to the PlayStation 3 as a PSN release, in all likelihood this VGA announcement could be exactly that.
It would certainly be welcomed news to MGS fans who don’t happen to own a PSP. Of course, the less likely possibility is some kind of direct sequel to Peace Walker for the PSP being announced, so we’ll find out exactly what Konami and Hideo Kojima have in store for us when the VGAs air tomorrow night (where they will, presumably, also find time to hand out a few awards).
