If you are a pervert from the early 2000s or visited Newgrounds website, you perhaps visited the adult section; or just found many of Studio FOW Interactive’s high-quality parody smut video shorts. Showcasing also some original works tucked in there here and there. If you NEVER visited anything I mentioned above you just stuck to the scrabbled stuff on TV or have a handy partner for that. Good on you. Subverse was a Kickstarter success with a backing of a big load of cash, as well as great hype. You start your journey as the Captain, recruiting sexy waifus, and completing a 4th wall tongue and cheek adult comedy fest. There is tons of sex and gameplay. Everything a mature gamer needs if they’re into the lewdness of the gaming world. If not, well you’re going to get an eyeful of breasts, sexual intercourse, and a lot of hanky panty spank shit.
Starting off the game loads up with premium top-notch graphics. Perhaps the best I have seen personally from smut games. Yes, beautiful textures will not save a game, but it also leads the ideal landscape of a wonderful setting. Gameplay plays several ways keeping it fresh and interesting between the sex and cut-scenes. You know, like a sexy parody of Mass Effect, but instead just called Mass Erect. I will see myself out. The game does not barrow with the 3rd person shooter stuff with RPG elements, absolutely not, instead, it keeps some of the RPG elements for its tactical combat side, with the tight and fun space combat with ships and plenty of bullets.
The space combat can play with both a gamepad or keyboard and mouse. Offering rounds of enemies similar to Asteroids. You have a primary fire and a secondary, pellet bullets, and rockets, along with upgrades depending on what lady rides along with you in the F3nix. which humorously in the game’s introduction making a joke about us being ready to jerk off. It knows us too well. Before each mission, you are presented with decently lengthened cut scenes. It shifts from space shooter, or tactical often to keep things interesting. Every time you succeed you get a special reward from your crew. As well as can unlock more “rewards” or sexy scenes every time you progress. You know the usual format for many a spicy adult game. Minus those copy and paste tile hentai games.
What makes Subverse stand out from other Adult games out there is easily the gameplay modes. As well as the strong and witty dialog. Even in its earlier package. It is not completely done yet as a game. As a large project, that this seemingly is; it still needs time to still be worked on. Arguments ensue from people who expected it sooner then later. As it has taken sometime to develop. Honestly, what is offered now is pretty good. More expected on the way from a roughly 5 hour length of story, rest being sexual loops for their joys to get off. Which usually lasts maybe 2 minutes.
Surely if you want a ton of content off of the bat it is best to wait a little while longer, or simply support the game’s development, and check in on it during the length of the development. As the game is staggeringly high quality in terms of sexy scenes, models, and game play which are all excellent. I will not be showing the sexual scenes in this article due to obvious reasons those being the major reward of the game. You are grasped with the obvious. The game does not take itself seriously at all. I noted this before, however I can not express it enough the humor in the game is done so well it is on the level of Leisure Suit Larry’s class. Which it to danced around the adult humor so well it blended. While its all at the end of the day sexuality done boldly, whether your into the kink, or just enjoy boobs along the way, the story’s plot, which is basically your a ex-smuggler who is always horny, wears underwear on his face that looks pretty much like Deadpool, recruiting, and banging everything with boobs and two legs. I have seen several negatives about the game which made me tilt my head. I read up on all of it, and still after shadow-of-doubting the perspectives of others. I dived in myself. I seen that after spending time with it, Team at Studio FOW enjoyed making the game. As well as love video games, and sex like content. It is down to the letter the parody films they made on their website they know what they are doing with animation. Does that deliver, does that bring home what people want from a porn game? As it in its current state now, it has a lot of smut loop scenes you can unlock through the point system granted per mission(mini-game) completed. The content felt a little bit pulled about at the moment, as I know they are still adding stuff in. It takes about 5 hours to complete the game. In its current state. The game overall was a blast to go through, while on the short side. I will not argue the price to length thing. As the game is meant to be a spank-er-clicker after you go through it the first time unlocking as much as possible making your sex scenes.
In Closing: The game screams of high quality. The sex scenes, the unlock-able content, and even down to the mini-games. Which contained simplified depth. Where its easy to understand, and play. If you’re looking to spank it and skip most of the content, after a few failures you can do that as well. So it opens its legs so to speak. It has some length to go to be fully erect and finished absolutely. However, for what it is now is pretty damn good. The gameplay elements of combat/tactical while sporting story as you go. For those wanting beyond more, let’s hope for rogue-lite modes for the Tactical or space combat. To grind the PP points. Which is used to unlock erotic scenes, outfits(coming soon), space ship parts for the F3nix, weapons for your units/ladies. Once the developers work deeper on the game expect more coming along in the near future. Do not pull out your expectations just yet. Give it a chance. From one pervert to another!
