Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

The new Need for Speed game from Criterion games, the developer of Burnout, is going to be released next month, and beginning tomorrow, you’ll be able to get your hands on it. A demo of Hot Pursuit will be released on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store tomorrow, October 26, although it will be available for just a limited time.

The demo will allow you to try out the game’s major new feature, called Autolog (more on that in our most recent preview), which essentially tracks you and your friends’ performances in the game and allows you to keep tabs on how you’re doing compared with them on any given event. You’ll be able to test this out on a cops vs. racers event, though you’ll also be able to do a more standard race once you’ve added someone to your friends list — doing so will unlock a normal racing event.

By downloading the demo and using the same EA Account, you’ll also earn yourself 500 bounty points in both the cops and racer career modes in the full version of Hot Pursuit. Those points can be cashed in to unlock new cars and events in Hot Pursuit.
