The real headliner of this year’s Summer of Arcade lineup was Limbo, the moody, black-and-white platformer. It was developer Playdead’s first project, and at the Indiecade festival this past weekend, CEO Dino Patti revealed that the company is currently at work on “a new IP.”
Speaking with Joystiq, Patti said, “I can’t tell much, but I can tell you that if you liked Limbo, it’ll definitely be for you. The gameplay style you’ll really like. You’ll feel it’s the same team who made it, but everything will be changed.”
While Limbo is and forever will be a Microsoft excusive, Playdead ideally wants as many people as possible to play its new game. “To be honest, we want as many people to play our games as possible,” Patti said. “If we end up going exclusive, we may do it for various reasons, but we just want as many people to play the game as possible.”
