Hot on the heels of employment rumors, APB creative director Dave Jones has stepped forward to deny them in no uncertain terms. Following the Develop report, Dave Jones responded in the comments section. “I’m still in Dundee and not in any way joining Epic,” he said. “No idea where that rumour came from.” The commenter’s identity was later verified.
The comment puts an end to that rumor, but it doesn’t quash the earlier reports that Epic Games is looking into buying APB. Even if Jones isn’t leaving for North Carolina to join Epic, we may see the developer involved in the massively multiplayer online shooter sometime in the future.
