Indie developer Markus Persson has some big plans for Minecraft this month. The creator of the ultra-successful sandbox game has announced a major update — including brand new monsters, gameplay mechanics, and more — for release on Halloween.
Among other improvements, the October 31 patch will add the ability to fish, craft a watch for timekeeping, and fast-travel through something called the “hell world.” The devs will also be modifying the in-game torches so that they expire after a set amount of time.
You can check out a teaser list of upcoming changes on the official Minecraft website.
