A new deal will help facilitate downloading Virtual Console games or playing Mario Kart online instead of whatever you’re supposed to be doing while you’re out. Nintendo of Europe has partnered with free-hotspot.com, giving 3DS owners free use of “over 5,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across 21 European countries.”
According to Nintendo, a 3DS will automatically find and connect to one of these hotspots, which are located in fast food chains and hotels. You can also do email and web browsing type stuff with the 3DS, though if you’re like us, you probably avoid console web browsers whenever possible.
5,000 new 3DS hotspots available in Europe originally appeared on Joystiq on Wed, 01 Feb 2012 15:30:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.
